At Sunshine Farm, we offer vocational opportunities that help adults with diverse abilities grow confidence, learn new skills, and be part of a welcoming community.

What We Offer

Horticulture & Garden Skills

Participants learn hands-on skills in:

  • Seeding, planting, and caring for crops

  • Harvesting produce

  • Greenhouse and garden maintenance

  • Seed saving and seed processing

These activities help build routine, confidence, and a connection to nature.

Farm-to-Table Food Preparation

Participants take part in:

  • Preparing fresh produce

  • Washing, sorting, and packaging

  • Learning kitchen safety and food handling basics

These skills build independence and support healthy habits.

Vocational Skills & Daily Work Routines

We support skill development through:

  • Workstation tasks

  • Production projects

  • Simple tool use and safe handling

  • Organization and task completion

Participants work at their own pace, with staff guidance and encouragement.

Hours & Setting

  • Location: Sunshine Farm, Kelowna, BC

  • Program Days: Monday–Friday

  • Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • Environment: Outdoor & indoor farm-based spaces, greenhouse, workstations, and creative activity areas.
